The energy of the 8 of Swords indicates that you are stuck but only because you are afraid to cut yourself loose. If you are in a relationship this energy can mean that your relationship needs to move to the next level but it does not feel like the right time to make that move. It could also mean that there is no next level because you are involved in an unproductive relationship. Either way, you need to find your clarity of thought and purpose and use them to take the steps necessary to become unstuck. Being indecisive will work against you in this case. If your reason for being in your relationship is not for love then find the solution needed to start things moving. Solutions are not always easy but they exist.

If you are single the energy of this card could mean that you are about to meet the love of your life. Or it could mean that you are lonely but refuse to do anything to change your circumstance. This card indicates you need to take a good look at what is stopping you from making the changes you need in your life and relationship. The energy of the High Priestess is asking you to go deeper, to look beyond the obvious, surface situation to what is hidden. This card also asks you to recall the vastness of your potential and to remember the unlimited possibilities you hold within your self. When this card comes up it can represent a time of waiting and allowing. It is not always necessary to act to achieve your goals. Sometimes they can be realized through a stillness that gives desire time to grow within the fullness of time.

The High Priestess indicates a need to pay attention to your dreams and listen to your intuitive inner voice for information on how to deal with your relationship. She counsels patience, waiting for the right time for action and relying on your intuition rather than logic. Intuition, wisdom and inner knowing help resolve relationship dilemmas, and intuitive insight suggest new solutions to keep things moving in a positive direction.

In a relationship, the person represented by the High Priestess may appear to be aloof and unreachable at times. They tend to come and go as they please and this can be very unsettling in a committed relationship. This is not an indication that they do not love you or that they have lost interest in you. This is just the nature of a person represented by the High Priestess card. They require stimulating conversation, books, documentaries, people, places, and situations. The best solution to this is to provide some of this much-needed stimulation within the relationship.

The Queen of Swords energy indicates you need to ask yourself are you being completely honest? Are you getting right to the point? Are you allowing yourself to see the humor in the situation? Are you sure you have figured out what’s going on? The use of inner wisdom and truth are important now.

If you are in a relationship and this card comes up it indicates a need to be less rigid in how you are handling things. Again it is okay to want things to go by the book but that is not always going to achieve what you or your partner desire so relax a little and live a lot.

If you are single the Queen of Swords indicates that the person you are attracted to may be mentally agile and witty but they are not very warm.

The energy around the 5 of Cups can alert you to the possibilities of a loss and make you aware of the emotional toll that it entails. The 5 of Cups may indicate the end of a relationship or the end of a phase in a relationship. Either way, you are feeling disappointed. It could mean that you are at a new phase in the relationship and you are missing the way things were. You may feel adrift and unable to face the current situation, whether it is moving forward in the new phase of the relationship, or moving forward without a partner. No matter what the current situation you need to re-order and re-evaluate priorities. You may use this card as a warning to help you avoid loss, or at least reduce its toll, forewarned is forearmed.

Thought this card may indicate loss or disappointment it is also a reminder that every loss opens new possibilities for growth because every loss initiates change. Many times loss hurts because it is our emotional resistance to change. No matter how much we accept intellectually that we must go with the flow if the “flow” separates us from something we love our initial feeling say “no” very strongly.

The energy of the 5 of Cups indicates that you should acknowledge how you are feeling but not wallow. Look at what you still have and make the most of it.
