“Before you get or achieve what you believe you want, it’s really only an ideal. Everything has positive and negative to it. When you have nothing, there’s nothing to lose…and there’s a freedom in that. When you have more, there is more to lose. Develop security not in things but in yourself, your abilities, resilience, adaptability, and determination. This will far greater surpass any comfort achieved in anything or relationship that exists outside of yourself. “Doe Zantamata

“Trust is as necessary to a happy, healthy relationship as air is to the lungs. With it, a relationship can survive almost anything. Without it, almost nothing. Living in a world without trust is truly painful. When a person says, “trust is something that needs to be earned,” it’s a big sign that this person’s trust was broken one too many times, and they got fed up. Without trust, stories are invented, and drama flows freely. With trust, a person can take people’s word at face value, not read into things negatively, and just be happier. It was not up to you to be lied to, but it is up to you to trust again. “Doe Zantamata

“What you impress people by is what you are impressed by in other people. If you are impressed by kindness and generosity, that means those things are in you, and you believe they are important. Those who are impressed by displays of status, power, flash, or waving money around don’t yet see the value in the qualities those actions show are lacking in that person…humility and gratitude. If a person doesn’t value your good qualities, it doesn’t mean they’re not important. They’re just not important to that person, and probably not present in them because of that. “Doe Zantamata
